Norske Skog present at ChooseFrance 2023

Norske Skog’s CEO Sven Ombudstvedt and Yves Bailly, MD of Norske Skog Golbey, recently took part in the ChooseFrance business summit, where they and other business leaders met with the President of France Emmanuel Macron and other top officials, including State Secretary for Ecology Bérangère Couillard (photo).

The annual event promotes France’s economic attractiveness and encourages international investment.

Norske Skog has made a substantial investment in the production of #recycled #containerboard at its Golbey mill and the accompanying Green Valley Energie renewable energy plant, in which Norske Skog holds a 10 percent stake. Among the topics discussed with government representatives were transportation, the energy situation and access to raw materials. 
 
The willingness to listen to business concerns and constructive cooperation with regional, local and central authorities have been a big part of Norske Skog’s decision to make these investments in France.
