All time high production at Norske Skog Skogn

18.01.2023

In 2022, the Skogn mill produced more than 500,000 tonnes of newsprint. Measured in meters of newsprint produced per employee, the mill reached a new all-time high production record.

With half a million tonnes of newsprint produced by Norske Skog Skogn’s three paper machines, 2022 was a record year in the mill’s 57-year-old history.

All 375 employees, including apprentices, at Norske Skog Skogn will receive a substantial bonus for their excellent performance.

Last week, everyone at Norske Skog Skogn was invited to celebrate their joint success.

“We’ve been running at full steam for the entire 2022. Our competent and highly valued employees and their strong dedication made this achievable,” says production manager Knut Erik Norøy.

For 2022, Skogn set a production goal of 450,000 tonnes of newsprint.

“It was an ambitious target to increase the production by 50,000 tonnes in just one year, but thanks to flexible and capable employees, we managed to reach our production goal. We are optimistic about the future, and we have ambition to further increase our production in 2023, and,” says Norøy.
